Hello,You misunderstood the BER is to apply for a grant to install Solar panels

You don't need a BER to apply for solar PV grant and you don't need to achieve any particular BER rating to claim the grant. A BER needs to be completed when the solar system is installed

Hello.Thanks for confirmation, I will need to get one once the panel are installed. The house is only 2 years old.The builder has left the country.Would you need air tightness test and construction details to determine a BER.

All construction details would be required. An air tightness test would give a better result and is actually required now under building regulations. The engineer that signed off on the build would need to provide all the details required, and data will be needed for the heat pump if one is installed. You won't get a grant for solar as your house is too new, unless your ESB Meter was installed before 2021
